Golden Globes 2011 Red Carpet

Top Row: Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, Emma Stone, Dianna Agron
Top Row Labels: Versace, Armani Prive Fall 2010 Couture, Custom Calvin Klein, J Mendel Pre Fall 2011
Second Row: Claire Danes, Nicole Kidman, Olivia Wilde, Tilda Swinton
Second Row Labels: Custom Calvin Klein, Prada, Marchesa, Jil Sander Spring 2011

I actually did it, I sat and actually watched the Red Carpet, albeit online. Was I wowed by the choices of the actresses on the Red Carpet of the Golden Globes, no, but I wasn’t disappointed. Green seemed to be the color of choice for the night. Valentino Red would probably come in with a close second. I’ve put a few of my favorite looks above the two standouts being Angelina Jolie in Versace and Anne Hathaway in the closing look for the Armani Prive Fall 2010 Couture show with Van Cleef and Arpels jewelry styled by the lovely Rachel Zoe. While Dianna Agron is sometimes chided for being a Carolina Herrera girl, for this red carpet she tried a different label but obtained the same look and for me, it works. The J Mendel Pre-Fall 2011 gown is another clean mature look to add to her image that she’s been so carefully cultivating.

EDITORIAL: Theory of Evolution

Mr. Mario Grauso is doing some things right over there in the styling department. With this latest editorial Grauso brings us some haute couture modeled by Olga Sherer in the American Museum of Natural History. The setting of course is significant as this is Elle’s 5th annual environmental but instead of paying attention to the surroundings I can only see the Valentino, Atelier Versace, and Chanel. That’s not even mentioning the amazing Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry.
