2NE1 come-back with 3 new mvs

2NE1 (in order from left to right:CL, Bom, Dara, and Minzy) has made a come back after being hiatus for awhile. They have 3 new singles and music videos from their new album “To Anyone” out in less than a week. I must say they haven’t lost their touch though I must warn you there’s a lot of autotune for some reason but it’s still good, the new songs are “Clap Your Hands”, “Go Away”, and “Can’t Nobody”

click below to check out the new mvs.

TRAX & FT Island new mvs

I decided to do two posts in one. First off FT Island has another mv out called ‘Love Love Love’ which is basically a break up/heartbreak kind of song but the video is very creative and the lyrics are touching where people can relate and TRAX just released a new mv called ‘Oh My Goddess’ featuring SeoHyun from the popular Korean girl group SNSD, which is another love song, of a guy expressing his feelings towards the one he loves, It’s a mix of pop/rock with lyrics others can relate to. Both songs are catchy. So click below to enjoy both mvs.

note: They are with English subtitles so you can understand them if you don’t know Korean.

Fashion Designer Andre Kim dies at the age 74

It’s a huge shock to the fashion world, Korea’s renowned fashion designer Andre Kim passed away on Thursday evening (Korean time) at Seoul National University Hospital.
Born Kim Bong-nam, the son of a farmer Andre Kim died at the age of 75 (Korean age they add a year) dude to complications from pneumonia. He became the country’s first male fashion designer in 1962 by establishing “Salon Andre” at the age of 17. He also became the first Korean designer to hold a fashion show in Paris and went on to hold many international shows through the years from New York to Cairo.
Andre Kim was best known for his evening and wedding gown collections as well as combining classical designs with futuristic elements which were favored by many Korean actors and singers like Lee JunKi, f(x), Super Junior’s Siwon and many others as well as international stars including the late Michael Jackson.
Kim never married, but leaves behind an adopted son.
I myself am currently in a state of shock I was just planning on making a post about him this week, I didn’t think this would be is. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed.
Here’s some pictures of his designs. I might make another post dedicated to his creations.

Teen Top Debuts and MTV?

Remember the group that I mentioned the other week? Well they finally made their debut and seem to have caught the attention of a lot of people, even here in the US. An upcoming MTV program called ‘Vice Guide to Everything‘ has served as a judge to decide on the group’s capabilities in music, and their possibilities of success once they officially enter the field. They also put the spotlight on Korea’s training system on different groups by visiting the country.

click below to read more about them and watch their new music video

T.O.P. Media revealed, “This program, which introduces Teen Top for the first time, will include in-depth evaluation on the training process the boys have gone through, including dancing lessons, vocal lessons, foreign language lessons, mime lessons, and etiquette lessons. Interviews with people in charge of casting, training, producing, and marketing will also be shown in the program.”

It seems that MTV’s producer Jessie Juke had a lot of interest in Teen Top, that he decided to go back to Korea and film the group’s activities once they debut. His intentions at first were to only capture what they had to go through prior to debut but now they seemed to have peaked his interest even more.
Vice Guide to Everything will begin its promotions U.S. wide starting this summer and will be broadcast starting from August on MTV.
Here’s their full mv, I must admit that I love it even though it’s on the sad side. enjoy~

Super Junior ‘No Other’

Super Junior’s new video ‘No Other’ is out. It has more of a light-hearted feel compared to most of their songs/videos that have came out lately. It makes me smile just hearing it, plus they are adorable, so here’s the mv, enjoy~

New singer Yoari debuts

After growing up very poorly and with her siblings and a single mom she turned to music. In 2006 she was suppose to debut as the fifth member of the female group Brown Eyed Girls. She’s known for having powerful vocals but her agency decided not to let her join BEG since they believed that her voice was more suited for rock music and put her in a different group called Springkler. The group disbanded and BEGs became more well known in the mainstream music market. It was known that Yoari sand the guide tracks for BEG and while she did she often felt sad about it. But she learned from it and is now becoming a solo artist.

Here’s her debut single ‘Excuse Me’ the video and the lyrics are pretty sad and deep.

New Korean Boyband

There’s a new boyband called Teen Top consisting of 6 members going by the names Cap, Niel, Riki, LJoe, ChangJo, and ChunJi. They are all still teenagers hence their name. Though I’m still a bit eh…about the name since they won’t always been teens. Also I hope they don’t end up like some groups not making it big because they sound like someone else. Even though their album cover is already reminding me of 2pm and the mv is reminding me slightly of a lot of other groups that have come out years before them. Hopefully we’ll see more of them. They haven’t made their official debut yet, so I can’t wait to see where this all goes in the future.

Here’s the mv teaser, enjoy~
